How SMP Builds Hair Density for Women
Contrary to popular belief, SMP is quite effective for long thin hair. As long as there’s still a decent amount of natural hair throughout, we can build the appearance of more hair density through micro pigmentation.
The client desired a semi-permanent solution for her thinning hair, so I utilized the Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) technique. This micro pigmentation method involved tattooing tens of thousands of micro dots onto her scalp, which darkened the tone of her skin and gave the impression of thicker hair.
The SMP treatment was conducted over three sessions. In the first session I applied the pigment to her scalp using a micro-needle. Though the client experienced some discomfort during the process, it was minimal.
In the second and third sessions I continued to add more dots and fill in gaps to create a more detailed and natural appearance. The client was delighted with the outcome of the SMP treatment as her hair looked fuller and thicker. This cosmetic procedure lasts for 3 to 5 years and does not require any special shampoos, hair fibers or foams.

ADDING VOLUME AT THE TEMPLES
